School will reopen to all pupils on Monday 8th March, following the latest announcement from the government. We look forward to welcoming back all our children very soon.
Please continue to practise your spellings from the Year 1 and 2 common exception word spelling list. Practise using them in sentences, ensuring that each letter is correctly formed.
Topic specific vocabulary to practise over this half term
Well done to you and your child for working so hard this term. We understand that home-schooling hasn’t been easy, but we want to thank you for your continuous support. To all the children in our class - we are incredibly proud of you!
Please make the most of half term and have lots of fun!
We will be in touch again on the 22nd of February.
Best wishes to you all,
Mrs Finch and Mrs Tunstall
Good luck Jessica with your 'Online International Gymnastics Competition' this weekend!
Jessica has chosen her own song and designed her routine for the competition on14th February. Good luck from all of Class 2.
Well done for the work you completed last week. I know working from home can be tricky at times but I want you to know you are all doing fabulously (parents included!).
Only one more week to go before half term - keep up the motivation just a little longer. I am available to ring you this week so I look forward to saying hello!
It was lovely to speak to you this week. I enjoyed hearing about the fantastic learning you have been doing as well as some of the exciting activities you have been up to outside the house. The work you have sent in this week has been wonderful. I think it's safe to say we now have continent and ocean experts in the class - well done!
I hope you enjoy the learning for the week ahead. Remember to always try your best.
Well done Year 2. You are all working so hard. We have really enjoyed seeing the pictures from last weeks home learning. You have all been so busy. I look forward to speaking to you again this week.
As you have heard from Mrs Wade many of the children will be accessing home learning materials for the immediate future. Our Topic this half term is ‘The Great Fire of London’. Please see below the attached Topic Web, learning activities and links for this week.
Please encourage your child to continue to practise their spellings, handwriting and phonics.
In Maths the children will continue to work on ‘money’. This was our focus before the Christmas holidays so it will be a great way to consolidate and build upon their existing knowledge. On a Friday the children will start work on 'data handling' with Mrs Tunstall.
Our Guided Reading text which we will be working from is ‘Vlad and the Great Fire of London’.
